Browsing a Long Teacher List? Pagination Keeps You Oriented
Infinite scroll works well when you're browsing casually. It works poorly when you're a parent with four children in a middle school, trying to locate a specific teacher in a list of fifty. You scroll, you overshoot, you lose your place.
Paginated teacher navigation for parents
The teachers drawer in the parent scheduling interface now uses pagination instead of infinite scroll. Parents navigate through a predictable number of teachers per page, with clear page controls and a current position indicator. Finding a teacher by last name—or scanning a list of twenty—is faster and less error-prone than scrolling through an unbounded list.
This improvement is most impactful at large middle and high schools where the teacher roster is long and families are scheduling multiple children simultaneously. Combine this with the click-through directory navigation that lets staff hop between related records—together these changes make navigating large school rosters faster for everyone involved in conference preparation.
