Alma Schools Can Now Configure OneRoster Using Supported URL Patterns Directly
Alma uses a distinct URL structure for its OneRoster endpoints—one that includes environment and tenant identifiers in a pattern that repeats across buildings and terms. Until now, IT teams setting up Alma with PTC Wizard sometimes needed workarounds to make the endpoint URL validate correctly during configuration.
What changed for Alma integrations
PTC Wizard now accepts Alma's supported OneRoster URL patterns natively in the integration setup screen. The validation logic recognizes Alma's URL structure without requiring manual reformatting or support escalation.
For IT administrators managing Alma across multiple schools, this means setup follows the same documented pattern for every building—no per-school adjustments needed. If your district uses Alma and you previously worked around this limitation, the standard URL from your Alma admin panel should now pass validation directly. Schools migrating from a previous SIS to Alma can also complete the PTC Wizard connection without a separate configuration session with support.
